Wanda Faye Johnson, age 73, of Middletown, KY, returned to her Heavenly Father Friday,
June 2, 2017 at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville, KY. Ms. Johnson was born January 10, 1944 to
the late Curt and Helen Pruitt in Louisville, KY. She was a faithful member of Lyndon
Independent Baptist Church.
Wanda was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She loved
her family so deeply, and showed that love in so many ways. Her children rise and call her
Blessed.
Wanda was a sweet and loving person to everyone she met. She showed kindness to everyone
and shared the love God gave her to all. She loved the Lord with all of her heart. Many times
she told of how she came to know and love the Lord at a very young age, and how He had
always been with her. She was an inspiration to her family and friends. No matter what was
going on in her life, she was always praising the Lord for being with her and taking care of her.
Among those who preceded her in death include her parents and two infant children, Rhonda
and Tommy. She leaves to cherish her memory, her sons, Bobby (Marsha) Johnson, and Tony
(Lisa) Johnson; sisters, Loretta Carroll and Glinda Arnett (Ken Ashley); brother, Gerald Pruitt;
grandchildren, Justin (Chelsee) Johnson, Amanda (Ronnie) Heath, Nick (Liz) Carter, Danielle
Johnson, Kristy Carter, and Michael Johnson; great-grandchildren, Jett, Zoe, Emma, Scout,
