Wanda Marie (Dennis) Cooper, 92, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2016. Wanda's family was everything to her. She took pride in her abundant homemaking skills and provided a loving home for her husband and 12 children. From quilting, canning, and gardening, to being a fabulous cook, she put love in to all that she did. She was a lifetime bowler and the constant "life of the party."
She was born on May 19, 1924 to the late Newt Hiram & Nanny Ivora (Puckett) Dennis. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Curtis Cooper; 3 brothers; 1 sister; grandsons, Curtis Dana and Hunter Phillip; step grandson, Andrew Jones; and great-grandson, Dalton.
Wanda is survived by her children, Curtis Dale Cooper (Janell), Ronnie Cooper, Michael Cooper (Cathy), Linda Jones (Stan), Sue Platt (Jim McCulloch), Vicki Nalley (Don), Cindy Worrall (Buck), Jim Cooper (Pam), Tracy Cooper (Judy), Dennis Cooper (Barbara), Tammy Becht (Kevin), & Kelly Cooper (Jerri); 38 grandchildren; 62 great grandchildren; and 11 great great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 12 to 8 PM Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN). Her Funeral Service will be at 11 AM on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
