Wanda Lee Cooper was born on October, 2, 1945, to the late Owen Milburn Turner and Mary Barbara Calhoun Turner; she was one of 14 siblings. On January 25, 2022, Wanda lost her battle with COVID 19. She fought very hard to be here for her family. She was a beautiful person inside and out. Wanda loved to show and express her love to anyone. She was and had many talents from doing hair, sewing, singing and playing music, but what brought her the most joy was cooking for others. Wanda was a bright golden light and her light will forever shine in our hearts.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son and grandson.

Wanda leaves behind her husband, Alan Cooper; her beautiful daughters, Paula (Petey) Wise, Vanetta Mitchell, Wynola Jones and Rachel Mitchell; grandchildren, Juan Turner, Von Turner, Ravon Turner, Victoria Mitchell, Vanity Mitchell, Vanda Mitchell, Raniya Vaughn, Samoine Mitchell, Kion Sloan, TaQuan Mitchell, Diamond Mitchell, Silva Coldwell and a host of great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
