Wanda Gene (Niemeier) Bowman

Wanda Gene (Niemeier) Bowman, 72, of Sellersburg, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022. She was a graduate of Clarksville High School and retired from MC Sales in Sellersburg. Wanda had an outgoing personality, never meeting a stranger, and enjoyed drinking her Polar Pops. More than anything, Wanda loved and adored her granddaughter, Willow.

She was born on July 24, 1949, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Eugene and Evelyn (Hinton) Niemeier. In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Michael; and son, Jason Bowman. Wanda is survived by her son, Brian Bowman; granddaughter, Willow Bowman; sisters, Charlotte Bennett and Rebecca Rowland; and sister-in-law, Angie Selmer.

Wanda's wish was to be cremated, and Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) was entrusted with her care. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (301 E. Main Street, Suite 100, Louisville, KY 40202).
