Wanda Lucille Bott

Wanda Lucille Bott, 88, Elizabethtown, KY, passed away on February 27, 2022. She went to Ahrens Trade School studying dress making and was a talented seamstress. Wanda was a dental assistant for over 35 years and taught dental assisting at the Elizabethtown Vocational School where she was also a secretary. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, quilting, reupholstering furniture and was an avid reader. Wanda enjoyed going to Rough River, riding on the pontoon with her husband and family. She had a huge heart, was generous and willing to share her home and family with others. Wanda will be truly missed and will forever live in our hearts.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald H. Bott, Sr.; father, Forest "Jiggs" Staples; mother, Dorothy Czeck; step-father, Walter Czeck and brother, William Harlan Staples, Sr.

Wanda leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Sheree Best, Renee Bott, Donald H. Bott, Jr. and Amy Ball; grandchildren, Sarah (Justin) Ritchie, Freda (Zac) Brown, Tabitha Middleton, Kyle Ball and Amelia Ball and great-grandchildren, Lilly Ritchie, Journee Ball and Zane Nall.

Visitation will be at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, Wednesday, March 9, 2022, from 10am-12:30pm with a celebration of Wanda's life beginning at 12:30pm.

Wanda will be laid to rest at Resthaven Cemetery, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY.
