Hare, Walter Lowell Sr. "Big Cat", 72, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on May 12, 2016.
He was born on April 11, 1944 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Walter D. Hare and Sallie A. Hare.
Lowell was a cab driver for over 44 years. He enjoyed bowling and most of all spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Carol Hare; children, Walter Hare Jr., Karen Masri (Sam), Trish Roll (Phillip), Aaron Hare (Becky); siblings, John Hare, Norman Hare, Dorothy Wigginton and Bonnie Gary; grandchildren, Clay, Conner, Cara, Caelyn, Collin, Randa, April, Shad, Tabitha, McKenzie, Andrew, Preston, Zach and Haley; 8 great-grandchildren; and many family members and friends.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home (10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville). A funeral service to honor the life of Lowell will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
