Walter Lewis French, 90, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, July 5, 2019. Walter was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War, and a 60 plus year member of Swigert Middletown Masonic Lodge #218 F.&A.M.
He was born on November 26, 1928 in Louisville, Kentucky to Walter C. and Rin Elizabeth French. He is preceded in death by his parents, and daughter-in-law, Lisa H. French.
Walter is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Ruth S. French, son, David L. French, daughter, Lynn F. (Brent ) Spiller, son, Mark (Kathy) French, brother, Edward Thomas French, grandchildren: Mary-Kay (Larry) Aubrey, Jennifer (Jeff) Ronniger, Elizabeth (Robert) Hargis, Heather (Josh) Jones, Josh (Kinsey) French, and great-grandchildren: Nicholas, Jackson, McCauley, Max, Gracie, Addie, Sam, Charlie, and Elsie Claire.
A gathering for Walter's family and friends will be from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - East Louisville, (235 Juneau Drive). A celebration of his life will be at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Louisville, Kentucky.
