Walter Czeck

August 1, 1918 — February 24, 2017

Walter Czeck, 98, went to meet his loving wife in Heaven on February 24, 2017. He was an Army veteran and worked as a mechanic at TARC. Walter loved gardening, fishing, bowling and reading westerns. He adored his family and would do anything for his grandchildren. Walter was well respected and loved by everyone.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dorothy Czeck; brothers, Michael Czeck, Edward Czeck and Lewis Czeck; son, William Harlan Staples, Sr.; daughter-in-law, Theresa Staples and son-in-law, Donald Bott, Sr.

Walter is survived by his daughter, Wanda Bott; grandchildren, Sheree, Renee (Sam), Donnie (Maria), Billy (Kathy), Christopher (Sharon) and Tony (Cathy); great-grandchildren, Amanda (Chris), Clark, Sarah (Justin), Freda (Zac), Maggie, Ryan and Tabitha; great-great-grandchildren, Lilly, Brianna and Avianna and nieces and nephews of New York.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 2, 2017, from 10am-1pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway) with graveside services at Bedford Cemetery in Bedford, KY beginning at 3pm.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that expressions of sympathy be made to Alzheimer's Association, Kaden Tower-Civic Center, 6100 Dutchmans Ln # 401, Louisville, KY 40205 in Walter's name. There will be a donation box at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville Chapel for your convenience.
