Vonda Ruth Estes, 55, of Fairdale, Kentucky, left this world on July 14, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth that will forever be cherished by her family and friends.

A devoted mother, nana, sister, and friend, Vonda poured her heart into everything she did. With a passion for cooking, she expressed her love through the comforting meals she prepared for her family every night, ensuring that no one ever went hungry. Vonda was also a savvy coupon enthusiast, always seeking out a good deal.

In her downtime, she found joy in nurturing her garden, lovingly planting flowers and vegetables that brightened her home. She delighted in crafting candles and many delightful aromas, sharing these creations with those around her. Vonda had a special fondness for frogs, often enjoying the thrill of catching them, a reflection of her playful spirit. A true homemade person, she enjoyed crafting special items for her loved ones, showcasing her humble and caring nature.

Born on October 3, 1968, in Louisville, Kentucky, Vonda was the beloved daughter of John and Deborah (Dismang) Jeffries, both of whom preceded her in death.

She leaves behind her significant other of 27 years, Leslie Mendez; devoted daughter, Tabitha (Roger) Hoffman, her cherished sons, Christian and Cameron Mendez, her beloved granddaughters, Anastasia and Alexandria Hoffman, as well as her brothers, Justin Wathen and Eric Jeffries. Each of them, along with extended family and friends, will forever hold her steadfast love in their hearts.

A visitation will take place from 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22, 2025. The celebration of Vonda's life will commence at 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel.
