Vivian Suzette "Suzie" Paulley

Vivian Suzette "Suzie" Paulley, 56, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025. Born on June 2, 1968, in Alexandria, Virginia, Suzie was the daughter of the late Albert Paulley, Jr. and Linda (Flanigan) Paulley Shirley.

She attended Floyd Central High School and was a dedicated collector, often seen exploring yard sales and flea markets in pursuit of hidden treasures and artwork. Those who knew her cherished her distinct laugh, a sound that brought joy to gatherings filled with family and friends. Suzie enjoyed testing out her luck with scratch-off games.

Above all, Suzie's heart belonged to her grandsons, Easton, Cooper, and Colton Smith. She adored them deeply, and they were a constant source of happiness and pride in her life.

Suzie is survived by her son, Doug Smith (Lindsay Hinson). Her siblings, Christopher Paulley, Sr., Justin Flanigan, and Laura Shirley; nephews, Christopher Paulley, Jr. (Jessica) and Cory Paulley (Kailee); niece, Chelsea Wilson (Ryne), all of whom were touched by her love and vibrant personality.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Monday, June 2, 2025, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany), followed by a memorial service at 5:00 p.m.

Contributions in Suzie's memory may be made to her family in care of the funeral home.
