Vivian A. MacElwain, 66, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Friday, February 2, 2018 in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on December 12, 1951 to the late Melvin and Verna Cochran.
Vivian attended public schools in Louisville, Kentucky and was employed at Delmonico Foods on South Floyd Street for 34 years. She retired in 2013. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at a very young age.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a brother, Robert Cochran Sr.
Vivian leaves to mourn her four children, Tonya, Darrett, Andre and LaVonia; siblings, Sharon (Bruce) Sweeney, Carolyn Ashby, Darlene (Jerome) Cochran, James (Shirley) Cochran, John Cochran; two grandchildren, James Carpenter and Jasma Cochran and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A special thank you to Dr. Lynn Parker, the staff of Norton Hospital and Hosparus. A special thank you for everything that everyone has done in our time of bereavement.
Funeral Ceremony will be 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at New Horizon Full Gospel Church, 2202 Dixie Highway with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 until service time at the church on Thursday.
