Virginia Lee White

Virginia Lee White’s gentle spirit left this earth on July 31, 2026, as quietly as she lived, enveloped by the peace and grace that so defined her presence. Born on December 10, 1948, in Logan, West Virginia, to the late Henry and Jane White, Virginia’s life was a tapestry woven from the brightest threads of kindness, faith, and loving simplicity. Virginia is additionally predeceased by her only brother, Henry Steven White.

Rooted in her cherished faith as a devoted member of Hikes Point Christian Church in Louisville, Virginia’s days were guided by her unwavering belief and the warmth of community. She radiated compassion and gentle strength, displaying a sweetness that lingered with those fortunate enough to know her. 

She was a sister, daughter, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, her love branching out and blooming throughout the years. Left to treasure her memory are her beloved sisters, Barbara Gagnon (Richard), Janet Burns (Bernard), Sandra White, and Darlene Parsons (Rusty). Virginia’s is also survived by her  daughter, Jennifer Adamec; grandchildren, Laura Smith and Zachary Adamec, and two great-grandchildren. Virginia valued her friendship with Carol Pedigre. Carol was her best friend and always ensured she made it to all her appointments. While Virginia truly loved all the members of her church, she was exceptionally close to her friend Don Shear.

Virginia’s life was never defined by material pursuits but rather by the richness of her faith and her capacity to find contentment in simplicity. Those who remain carry with them the memory of her gentle embrace, the melody of her sweet reassurances, and the understanding that the simplest lives are often the bravest and most beautiful.

In the echo of her passing, her family and friends find solace in knowing that Virginia’s kindness persists in every life she touched—a quiet, indelible light that will not fade.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Hikes Point Christian Church, 2601 Hikes Lane with her funeral service beginning at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow in Floydsburg Cemetery at 1:30 pm.
