Virginia was born on September 10, 1930 in Roanoke, Alabama to the late Grover and Metterae (Noles) Hester
Virginia is survived by her husband Curtis Putnam; son Van Ray Smith, sister Betty Ann Downing and long-time friend, Janice Shepherd.
Per Virginia's wishes cremation was chosen and a service will be held at a later date.
