Hollis, Virginia, 85, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on January 21, 2016. She was a retired bookkeeper.
Virginia was born on June 6, 1930 in Henry, Illinois to the late Joe and Vena Allison. She was also preceded in death by her husband David A. Hollis; and six brothers.
She is survived by her daughter, Glenna Wilkins (Al); step-son, David Hollis (Patty); grandchildren, Marti Wilkins, Nicole Funke (Mark), Kyle Hollis, Cody Hollis; two great-granddaughters, Hannah Funke and Grace Funke; two sisters, LaVerne Kessinger (Eldon), Cathy Settles; one sister-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial visitation will be held on Monday, January 25, 2016 from 1p.m. - 3p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home-Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville KY). A memorial service will follow at 3p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society.
