Virginia A. (Becht) Gullett, 78, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2018. Virginia was a life-time member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church in Floyds Knobs and retired from Dan Cristiani Excavating as a bookkeeper. Virginia enjoyed volunteering at her church and was a die-hard Notre Dame football and New Albany High School basketball fan.
Virginia was born in Floyd County, Indiana, on December 4, 1939, to the late Richard C. and Hilda (Batliner) Becht. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Larry E. Gullett, Sr.
She is survived by her children, Ed Gullett, Margie Mosier (Willie), Barbara Jacobs (Bob), and Corky Gullett (Teresa); siblings, Juanita McCauley, Evelyn Heilig, Nina Schmidt (Johnny), and Stephen Becht; grandchildren, Melanie Case (Bryan), Megan Gullett, Christina Eiler, Eddie Snider, Caitlin Reynolds (Steven), Sarah Parker, Hollee Young (Justin), Jennifer Jacobs, Shelby Dunning (Josh), and A.J. Gullett; 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-grandson on the way.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 7, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana). Her Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church (5719 St. Mary's Road, Floyds Knobs, Indiana) with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
