Virginia Gertrude "Trudy" Eddins

Virginia Gertrude "Trudy" Eddins, 96, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, November 23, 2024 surrounded by her family. She was born in Henry County, Kentucky on November 25, 1927 to Anna Virginia and Leonard Montgomery Douthitt. 

She was a homemaker and retired from Consolidated Sales Company. She was a member of New Salem Baptist Church and a former member of Valley Station Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, seven siblings and her husband of fifty years, Howard Denney Eddins. 

She is survived by one son, Wayne (Sheila) Eddins; five daughters, Velma (Phil) Runner, Jewell (Tom) Williams, Carla Krebs, Terri Eddins, and Johnnie (Bo) Eddins; nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was loved by all and will truly be missed.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway. Her funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, with entombment to follow at Bethany Memorial Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.
