She was born on April 8, 1926 in Louisville, Kentucky to John and Sophronia Hertel. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Arvin G. Davis, daughter, Carol Sue Helphenstine, grandson, Christopher Helphenstine.
She is survived by her son, Arvin "Rick" (Susan) Davis, 5 grandchildren, Leo Helphenstine, Michael Helphenstine, Matthew (Hailey) Davis, Jessica (Brandon) Votaw, Brian (Brittney) Davis, 10 great grandchildren, Peyton Votaw, Tyler Votaw, Lana Davis, Madyson Votaw, Nathan Davis, Nathan Stone, Ayden Votaw, Avery Davis, Finley Davis, Elly Davis.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, January 14, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her Funeral Service will be at 10:30 am on Tuesday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West in Louisville, Kentucky.
The family requests that contributions in Virginia's memory be made to Kentucky Partnership for Families and Children.
