Mr. Virgil E. Williams, age 67, passed away Friday, June 5, 2009 at St. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital. He was an employee of SafeTran and a member of Local 234. Mr. Williams is survived by a daughter, Vickie Beineke (Joseph), of South Carolina; two grandchildren, Joseph James and Christopher William Beineke; sister-in-law, Margie Williams; two step-sisters, Bonnie Redman and Georgie Pons; two nephews, Clyde and Michael Wayne Williams; a niece, Samantha Platforth; a step-nephew, Kelly Redman and step-niece, Lisa Redman Coffey. A celebration of Mr. Williams life will be 8 p.m. Tuesday from the chapel of Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Dr., with visitation after 4p.m.
