Virgil "Buddy" Penick

Virgil "Buddy" Penick, 71, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2021. He was born on August 14, 1949 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Virgil and Geneva Penick. He was a loving Father, Papaw, Brother and friend and he will be deeply missed.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Eric Penick, Ashley (Cody) Baker and Kimberly (Kody) Masterson and their Mother, Susan Penick; grandchildren, Mikayla, Malia, Kaden, Lydia and Kolton; a brother, David (Barbara) Penick; a nephew, Jeff (Donna) Penick; 2 nieces, Amanda Penick and Heather Penick and a host of extended family members and many friends who all loved him dearly.

A service to celebrate his life will take place at 4:00 pm on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). The family will accept guests for visiting prior to the service from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Buddy's honor to Hosparus Health of Louisville for the excellent care he received over the past several months.
