Violet P. Smith, 81, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Klondike Manor.
She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on November 6, 1935 to the late Melvin and Wilma Payne-Miles.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Walker M. Smith, Sr.; a son, Walker M. Smith, Jr.; a son-in-law Michael M. Jenkins, Sr.; one grandson-in-law Jonathan A. Beatty, Sr. and one great grandson Mayceo Jonathan Alan Beatty.
Violet is survived by her beloved family including her daughter, Gina Jenkins; a son, Daniel T. Smith, five grandchildren, Vonetta Smith, Michael A. Jenkins, Jr., Alisha R. Jenkins-Beatty, Anthony M. Jenkins, and Damon A. Jenkins; nine great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren as well as a host of extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory.
