Vincent Barry Ross

Vincent Barry Ross, age 72, of Louisville, KY passed away peacefully on May 23, 2025.

He was born on March 31, 1953 in Louisville, KY to the late James and Dora Ross. Barry dedicated his life to Christ at an early age at First Baptist Church in LaGrange, KY. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Mona Carter.

Barry was a man who cherished the simple joys of life- spending time outdoors, breathing in fresh air, and connecting with nature. He was an avid bowler-it was more than a hobby for him, it was his passion he never stopped talking about, and he always looked forward to the day he’d hit the lanes again.

Barry is lovingly remembered by Mary Louise Hinkle who stood by him throughout life with love and support, their three children: Lanita (Lee), Barry and Michael- as well as seven grandchildren: Jordyn, Jacobi, Jaxon, Lauryn, Anthony, Amiyah and Kaden. He is also survived by his sisters, Dorinda and Sandra Ross.

Barry’s presence was quiet but steady. He didn’t need much to be happy, just family and fresh air. He will be deeply missed by everyone who had the chance to know and love him.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 11:30 am on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243) with burial to follow at Valley of Rest Cemetery in LaGrange, Kentucky.

All are welcome to come and share memories, laughter, and love in his honor.

I have finished the race,

I have kept the faith.

which the Lord, the righteous Judge,

will award to me on that day.”
