Vincent Joseph Heitkemper

January 30, 1931 — December 13, 2015

Vincent Joseph Heitkemper, 84, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on December 13, 2015. He retired from Louisville Tin and Stove Company as a Die Setter. Vince loved all sports and especially enjoyed watching horse races at Churchill Downs.

Vincent was born on January 30, 1931 in Louisville, Kentucky.

Vincent was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard A. and Maragaret A. (Vogt) Heitkemper; seven brothers, Bernard H., Lawrence, Charles, Elmer, Richard and Clarence; four sisters, Virginia Parker, Margaret Stark, Helen Price and Gertrude Byrns.

Vincent is survived by his wife, Bessie (Melton) Heitkemper; step-daughter, Ferella Phillips; grandsons, Eric Mosby and Derek Mosby.

Visitation will be from 9:00 am to 10:00 am Friday, December 18, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville). His Funeral Ceremony will be held Friday, December 18, 2015 at 10:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home - East Louisville with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery (4623 Preston Hwy, Louisville).
