Vickie Sue Shepherd-Cook

Vickie Sue Shepherd-Cook, 68, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2026. Vickie was a loving and devoted mother, sister, friend, and Gee to her beloved grandchildren. She had a contagious personality and was loved by everyone that met her. Vickie will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.

She was born on April 2, 1958 in Louisville, Kentucky to James and Iris (Wise) Sanders. She is preceded in death by her father, James E. Sanders, Sr.; mother, Iris Sanders; and her brother, Dale Sanders.

Vickie is survived by her loving family, daughter, Danette (Chad) Zehnder; grandchildren, Cassandra Shepherd, Dylan Clinton, Andrew (Marlee) Clinton; great-granddaughter, Emery Clinton; lifelong best friend, Lani Kratzwald; brother, James E. (Terry) Sanders, Jr.; as well as a host of extended family and friends to cherish her loving memory forever.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Monday, September 28, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at Mercy Hill Church in Shepherdsville, Kentucky.
