Vicki Elaine (Brown) Griffey, 65, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2018. She was a United States Army veteran and a retiree of the Census Bureau in Jeffersonville. Vicki was a wonderful wife and mother. She was crafty and also enjoyed reading.
She was born on October 11, 1952, in Wasco, California, to Ruth (Emerson) Hill and the late Kenneth Brown, Sr. Along with her mother, Vicki is survived by her husband of 42 years, Terry Griffey; sons, Nick and Max Griffey; siblings, Karen Johnson, Ken Brown (Debbie), Janice Inman (Chris), and Stacy Lugo; and stepfather, Jim Hill.
Cremation was chosen following Vicki's wishes. A reception of family and friends will be from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southern Indiana Chapel (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with her Memorial Service taking place at 5:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest privately with military honors at the New Albany National Cemetery.
The family requests that contributions in Vicki's memory be made to the Friends of the Culbertson Mansion, Inc. (914 East Main Street, New Albany, Indiana 47150).
