Veronica (Whitehouse) Lotze 61, entered eternal life January 20, 2019 with family by her side.
Veronica was a lifelong Louisville resident, graduate of Doss H.S. and received undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Louisville. Veronica was a gifted educator. After retiring from JCPS system in 2007, she continued as a substitute teacher and supporter of Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Veronica was an active member of Southeast Christian Church and served many years in the Activities Ministry.
Veronica loved Jesus and demonstrated her love for Him by serving others in her selfless unique ways. One of her greatest passions was for animals. Veronica served her furry friends through The Shamrock Foundation and The Arrow Fund where she volunteered tirelessly wherever needed. Another favorite passion was her love for U of L sports and Denny Crum.
Veronica's professional life was largely spent teaching a structured curriculum, but her true teaching came from her Bible and from her heart.
She was preceded in death by her father, Don Whitehouse.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 40 years, Charlie Lotze; Mother, Robin Whitehouse; Brother, Mike Whitehouse (Ruth Ann); Brother, Don Whitehouse (Michelle); nieces and nephews, Allison, Brian, Rachel and Eric Whitehouse.
A Celebration of Life will be held January 24th, 2019 at Southeast Christian Church 920 Blankenbaker Pkwy. Louisville KY.
Visitation 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. in the Fireside room with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel.
A reception will be held after the service in the Fireside room at 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
