Vaughan dedicated nearly 20 years of his life to the arts, fulfilling his roles as the Props Master for the Brown Theater and working alongside the Local 17 Stagehands. Those who had the pleasure of knowing Vaughan would describe him as very generous and outgoing. He had a remarkable ability to connect with others, never having met a stranger. Vaughan's true happiness was often found in getting his hands dirty—whether it be fixing cars, renovating homes, or tending to his yard, he embraced each task with enthusiasm and skill. His adventurous spirit was reflected in his love for riding his motorcycle, exploring the open road both locally and during vacations. Additionally, he cherished moments spent fishing with family and friends, creating lasting memories in the great outdoors.
Vaughan took immense pride in his family, especially the birth of his children and their individual accomplishments. He was a devoted father who celebrated every milestone with joy and pride, fostering a nurturing environment filled with love and encouragement.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on September 11, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville, located at 10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272. A funeral service will follow on September 12, 2025, at 11:00 AM, also at Newcomer Funeral Home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmie Massie and Dona Joy; son, Evan Zettwoch and his sister, Victoria Kiefer.
Vaughan leaves behind to cherish his memories are his daughter, Kasey Logsdon. Kayla Leach, Amelia Massie and Ashley Massie; brothers, Edmond (Jackie) Massie and Jimmie Massie and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Vaughan Jeffrey Massie will be remembered for his vibrant personality, unwavering kindness, and the impact he had on the lives of those around him. His spirit will undoubtedly live on in the hearts and memories of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
