Vanessa Tucker

Vanessa Tucker, 66, of Louisville, Kentucky, gained her wings on Friday, April 17, 2026.

She was born on July 14, 1959 in Chicago, Illinois to Roland Patterson and Mary Tucker. She is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Ann Tucker, father, Roland Patterson, siblings, Carl Sherman Carter, Rosalind Tucker, Alisha Tucker, and aunt, Ida E. Adams.

Vanessa affectionally known as V-Neck to all her nieces and nephews was a loving friend to everyone she met and she never met a stranger.

Vanessa is survived by her loving children; Carl (Tina Marie) Tucker, LeShandra Jones, Tradell Tucker, grandchildren; Gaw III, Gaia, Ezekiel, Jeremiah, Cameron, Carl II, siblings; Emma Oates, Yvonne Moore, Roland (Lynda) Tucker Sr, Mitchell Tucker, brother in love Eddie Moore Sr., son-in-law, Gaw Jones Jr., fur-baby, Maumau along with a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, and great great nieces, nephews, as well as extended family and friends to cherish her memory forever.

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, followed by service from 4:00pm to 5:00pm on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Repass immediately after at 3811 Hale Street.
