Valtas Hockenbury , 84, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2020.
Valtas retired from General Electric in 2001 and enjoyed music, boxing and checkers.
He was born on May 17, 1936 in Grayson County , Kentucky to the late Claude and Stella (Decker) Hockenbury . Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Hockenbury, and siblings, Alta Stevenson, Kendall Hockenbury, and Hollis Hockenbury.
Valtas is survived by his children, Vonda Williams, Darrell Hockenbury, Rodney (Sandra) Hockenbury, Valerie (Timothy ) Colvin, Lora Dunavent, Curtis (Tonya) Hockenbury, and Cheryl Porter, his siblings, Mildred Owens, Claytos (Margie) Hockenbury, Carlos (Debbie) Hockenbury, and Cledith (Betty) Hockenbury. Along with 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews who loved him very much.
The family will be celebrating his life at a later date.
