Tyron Britt Jenkins, Sr.

March 18, 1974 — April 8, 2020

Tyron Britt Jenkins, Sr., 46, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2020, after a courageous battle with cancer. Tyron was a 1992 graduate of Fairdale High School and went on to graduate from Kentucky Community and Technical College. He was a former employee at ECT Services and the owner of Jenkins Electric.

Tyron was an elder and active member at Greater Mount Zion Apostolic Church of God and the Kentucky and Tennessee FAC Council. He served as a Building Commissioner for the town of Clarksville. Tyron was a member of the Building Industry of Greater Louisville, Independent Electrical Contractors, and the Associated Builders and Contractors of Kentucky & Indiana.

He was born on March 18, 1974, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Goodell Campbell and Marion Jenkins. Tyron is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Deanna (McPheeters) Jenkins. They were married on October 4, 1997. He is also survived by his children, Tyron, Jr., Ariana, and Ian Jenkins; siblings, Tracie, Todd (Wanda), and Terry Jenkins; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Services will be private and Tyron will be laid to rest at West Haven Cemetery in New Albany. Contributions in his memory may be made to Greater Mount Zion Apostolic Church of God (3845 Wayne Street, New Albany, IN 47150).
