Troy Lamont Johnson, Sr.

Troy Lamont Johnson, Sr., age 62 of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, September 07, 2024.  Troy was born April13, 1962 in Louisville KY to the late mother, Dolores Colbert Johnson and father Charles Edward Williams. He received his education through the public school system, and served a term of seven years in the United States Army.   Troy was employed as an SRNA (Nurse Assistant or Nurse Aid).  He worked for a few nursing home facilities, with Seneca Place being his most recent for almost, sixteen years.  

Troy would light up a room when all was quiet. He would find multiple ways to bring laughter, joy, and happiness to friends, family, and even strangers. He was a man who loved his music, from Michael Jackson to Earth, Wind and Fire, Prince, and more, capable of singing to each song verse, by verse.  His precious joys in life were his children and skating, in whom he introduced them to in their younger years, teaching them the concepts of music through jam skating and different genres he enjoyed.   He departed his life at home.

Troy leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Samantha E Johnson; his son, Troy Lamont Johnson; their mother, Stannie Johnson; his brothers, Jacque Johnson and Keith Johnson; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  

 He will be missed dearly by his family and friends. 

Visitation will be from 10 am to 12 pm on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243, with a celebration of Troy's life at 12 pm to follow.
