Our beloved Troy Dejuan Bacon was called home to be with the Lord on Friday December 4th, 2018 at the age of 42. Troy was born on December 23, 1975 in Louisville, KY.
Troy accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at a young age and was baptized at Shivley Baptist Church. He graduated with honors from Ballard Highschool and went on to join the United States Navy , earned the highest rank of Chief and successfully retired after 20 years of service. In addition to his Navy career he was a college graduate and was member of many organizations to include the Queen Esther Grand Chapter of the Masons.
Troy was a beautiful person with a loving spirit, generous heart, big personality and a bright smile that could illuminate any room and he never met a stranger. His generosity extended beyond his immediate family and relatives to form everlasting relationships among friends. Those touched by his friendship will forever remember his giving nature and laughter. He was loving, devoted father and son.
He leaves to cherish his memory his parents Rosalind Inez Bacon-Torian and Robert Terry McWilliams, children Xavier Washington, Troy Jr. and Devin Bacon), sister Marquita Bacon Carr (Ramon); Maya and Andre Carr, Mary Ann Fields (Grandmother), and host of aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
Normally during this season, the Navy wears their dress blues however at the request of Troy's mother he will be wearing his dress whites.
The family will accept friends from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Friday, December 14, 2018 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy). A funeral service will be held on Friday at 2:00 pm at the funeral home with military honors to follow.
