It is with profound sorrow and heartfelt reverence that we announce the passing of Tracy Michelle Goins-Middlebrooks, a cherished soul whose indomitable spirit and compassionate heart left an indelible mark on all who were privileged to know her. Born on October 2, 1970, in Louisville, Kentucky, Tracy’s life was a luminous journey of dedication, love, and spirited leadership until her peaceful departure on March 22, 2026.

A proud product of Louisville’s own Holy Cross High School, class of 1988, Tracy’s thirst for knowledge and justice propelled her to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Louisville in 1998. Her distinguished career was marked by a steadfast commitment to public service, culminating in a notable tenure of 23 years with Probation and Parole. Through her unwavering dedication, she not only served her community with honor but also exemplified the virtues of diligence, empathy, and integrity.

A lover of life’s simple pleasures, Tracy delighted in watching sports with a particular fondness for Travis Kelce, and her voice was often heard singing, echoing the melody of her joyful spirit. The allure of the beach provided her solace and happiness, a place where her soul found rest amidst sun and sea.

Among her proudest accomplishments was the profound joy of motherhood, a role she embraced with grace and boundless love. Her family was her sanctuary, her greatest achievement, and the legacy she leaves behind. Tracy’s life was a testament to the power of love, resilience, and heartfelt connections.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Loretta Goins and her paternal grandmother, Opal Lucas.
