Tonya Michelle Monie

Tonya Michelle Monie, age 49 of Shelbyville, Kentucky entered into eternal life on Wednesday, April 8, 2026.  Tonya was a very loving and caring person who loved her family unconditionally.  She would give you the shirt off her back or a good home cooked meal to make it all better.  Tonya was the family rock who could always be counted on.  She had a tender soul that shined through.  She will forever be in our hearts.  

Tonya was preceded in death by her father, Elmer "Butch" Risinger.  

Tonya leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband, Mark Monie; daughters, Kali Hoskins (Miles) and Alyssa Ochsner (Blake); her mother, Karen Risinger; brother, Jeff Risinger; Tonya's mother-in-law and father-in-law, Cathy and Joe Monie; brother-in-law, Shawn Monie (Tonia); nieces, Kristina Risinger and Alexis Risinger; uncles, Ricky Risinger (Linda) and Dennis Risinger (Cindy); aunts, Barbara Guinn (Mark), Nancy Drikas (John), Pam Parker (Paul), Judy Motherhead (Steve), Donna Dorton, Toni Dewees; numerous cousins; and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8pm on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 and on Thursday, April 16th from 9:30 to 11am at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243.  A celebration of Tonya's life will be held at 11am Thursday, April 16th at the funeral home.
