Tommy Smith, Sr.

Thomas "Tommy" Humphrey Smith Sr., 80, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2025.

He was born on November 8, 1945 in Loretto, Kentucky to the late William and Frances (Cameron) Smith. He is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Gloria Jean Smith; son, Randal Phillips and siblings, William Kelly Smith, Barbara Boone and Harvey Smith.

Tommy is survived by his loving sons, James (Lisa) Smith, Sr., Thomas H. (Missy) Smith, Jr., Kelly (Melody) Smith, John Wesley Smith, six grandchildren, James Jr., Ashlie, Cody, Diana Grace, Ethan, Tessa and seven great-grandchildren, JD, Jenna, Haylie, Allie, Jordan, Thomas and Alex. He is also survived by his siblings, Libby Boone, Mary Catherine Cahoe, Sue Medley, Gerald Smith and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until the time of the funeral service at 4:00 pm on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243).
