Timothy Earl Alexander
February 23, 1952 — July 10, 2018
Timothy Earl "Tim" Alexander, 66, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at his home. He was a member of St. Mark's United Church of Christ, a 1970 graduate of New Albany High School, a 1974 graduate of Indiana University, and loved collecting music and film. When he retired from the Kentucky Cabinet for Families and Children, his "second job" was caring for his grandchildren, who he loved dearly.
He was born on February 23, 1952, in New Albany to the late Elmo E. and Dorothy M. (Baker) Alexander.
Tim is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Janie L. (Neuner) Alexander; his sons, Michael B. and Nicholas L. (Sarah) Alexander; and grandchildren, Natalie and Maxwell Alexander, Mallory Kellams, and Madison and Maddox Schmeltz.
Cremation was chosen in regards to Tim's wishes. No services have been scheduled at this time.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105).
