Thomas D. Tucker

Thomas Dale Tucker, 73, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2021. Tom was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend with a heart of gold and a tremendous sense of humor. He loved his family especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed family vacations at the beach and was an avid fan of UofL sports. He always loved family trips to watch NASCAR. Tom will truly be missed by anyone and everyone who had the honor of knowing him.

He was born on October 17, 1947 in Louisville, Kentucky to Emmett Tucker and Beeda Tucker (Embry). He is preceded in death by his father, Emmett Tucker and mother, Beeda Tucker; grandchildren, Troy Simmons and Trevor Hurt; siblings, Elvie Tucker, Evelyn Tucker, Irene Tucker, Lorene Tucker, Hosea Tucker, Denard Tucker, Lavonne Tucker, Donald Tucker, and Gayle Tucker.

Tom is survived by his loving Wife of 50 years, Barbara Tucker; children, Anthony (Karen Battoe) Tucker, Sandy (Bob) Hurt, and Debbie (Lonnie) Simmons; grandchildren, Trent Hurt, Trey (Jessica) Simmons, Drew (Hedayah) Tucker, and Maddie Tucker; great-grandchildren, Hayden Hurt, Cooper Simmons, Maverick Simmons, and McCoy Simmons; siblings, RJ Tucker, Virgie Tucker, Jean Tucker, and Jr. Tucker. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends to cherish his loving memory forever.

The family is having a small memorial service for the immediate friends and family at their home on Thursday September 9th, 2021 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.

The family requests that contributions in Tom's memory be made to Kosair Children Hospital.
