Thomas Edward Sweatt

Thomas Edward Sweatt, 74, of Louisville, Kentucky, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 6, 2019. He was an entrepreneur and had started several businesses but labeled himself as a self-taught Professional Handicapper. Thomas loved to fish and hunt and enjoyed life to the fullest. Above all things, he loved his family and friends. He will be remembered by all the lives he touched.

He was born on February 3, 1945, in Morgantown, Kentucky, to the late Eugene Bush and Theresa (Sweatt) Miller. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his Brother, Curtis Bush.

Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Brenda (Smith) Sweatt; Daughters, Carlisa Sweatt, Renesha Sweatt, and JoAnn Sullivan; Sisters, Linda (Olen) Jones and Brenda Falls; Brothers, Michael (Rochelle) Bush, Sylvester (Yolanda Haynes) Bush, and Larry (Peggy) Bush; Granddaughter, LaReonnia Sullivan; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany, (3309 Ballard Lane). His Funeral Service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at West Haven Cemetery in New Albany.
