Thomas Dale Lock, 81, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, September 19, 2025. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War, embodying the spirit of dedication and honor.
Born on April 29, 1944, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, he was the son of Thomas and Inez (Curtiss) Lock. Throughout his life, Tom was known for his love of sports, especially golf and tennis. His passion for tennis was evident from a young age, as he achieved the remarkable title of state champion during his college years in Michigan.
In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his brothers, Gary and Doug, and his daughter, Sharon Caruso.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Connie, who stood by him through every chapter of their lives together. Tom is also survived by his sons, Tom (Jodi) and Daniel Lock, and daughter, Carol Salazar, along with her husband, John. In addition, he leaves behind a sister, Nancy Walkowiak, 13 granddaughters, 4 grandsons, and 4 great-grandsons. His extended family, including many nieces and nephews, also remember him fondly.
Tom's wish was to be cremated, and arrangements have been made with Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, located at 3309 Ballard Lane in New Albany. A celebration of his life will be announced in the coming weeks, providing friends and family an opportunity to gather in remembrance of a life well-lived.
