Thomas Lee Wimsatt, age 50, of Louisville, passed away on Monday, August 8, 2016. He graduated from Fern Creek High School. Tom was a dietary aide at Good Samaritan Nursing Home and an avid UofK fan. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Eugene Wimsatt; paternal grandparents, Irvin and Narvel Wimsatt; and maternal grandparents, Jack and Arminda Minch.

Tom is survived by his loving mother, Bonnie Cheek (Leonard); sister, Saundra K. Wimsatt (Phillip Gribbins); niece, Crystal M. Spencer; step-sisters, Lisa Callahan and Leann Thompson (Keith); uncles, Milton Wells (Kathy), Phillip Wells, Kenny Miller; aunt, Beverly Robertson (Jim Arms); several cousins, and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be 1-8pm Thursday, August 11, 2016 and 11:30am-1pm on Friday, August 12th at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive in Middletown. A celebration of Tom's life will be 1pm at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Cave Hill Cemetery.
