Thomas D. House, 80, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away on Friday, December 18, 2020. Tom enjoyed tinkering and working on cars. He had a passion for animals and flowers and loved a variety of Little Debbie snacks. Tom was unique in his love for life and got a kick out of gluing pennies to just about anything he could. He will be dearly missed by his friends and family that he loved very much.
He was born on January 18, 1940, in Warren County, Kentucky, to the late Leander House, Sr., and Marie (Eadens) Beckley. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Betty House; daughter, Brenda House; brother, Leander House, Jr.; and sister, Ramona Harp.
Tom is survived by his daughters, Bonnie (David) Firkin, Rebecca House, and Barbara Tarrie; sons, Thomas (Tonya) House, Jr., and Timothy House; grandchildren, Casey (Jamie) Combs, Crystal (Jeremy) Maymon, Cathy (Robert) Edwards, Wayne (Ashlie) Combs, William (Hannah) Hollopeter, Savannah (Josh) Collins, Stephanie Tarrie, Shawn House, and Brian House; sister, Deborah Sims; 16 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and sister-in-law, Connie House.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 26, 2020, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Edwardsville (Tunnel Hill) Cemetery.
