Thomas departed this life on Friday, December 24, 2021, at the age of seventy-four. Thomas E. Holt Sr, the son of the late Lee and Farrilla Holt, was born on March 4, 1947, in Veto Alabama. He spent his childhood between Prospect, Tennessee and Alabama with his parents and seven siblings.
He attended Davis Elementary & Bridgforth High School before relocating to Louisville, KY. Thomas came to Louisville, KY in 1965 and after moving to Louisville he started working for Swift Meat Packaging Company for 30 years before retiring. He loved working in his yard and doing things around the house.
Thomas accepted Christ at a young age at Antioch Baptist Church and was baptized in the river in Tennessee. He enjoyed serving the Lord and was faithful to the church. You talking about someone who could sing, He could sing! He loved quartet music and sung top with the Singing Angels Quartet for many years. He also sung with Shiloh brotherhood, Bates Memorial Men's choir and Grace Missionary Baptist Church Male Chorus in Athens, Alabama.
He was a faithful and supporting husband and a good father to his children. He was always concerned about his children and wanted the very best for each of them. He was a giver, always doing for others, especially for his wife, children, and family. He always attended Sunday School, prayer meeting, and bible study before getting sick.
