As a business owner of Tom's Custom Stainless, Thomas dedicated himself to engineering, designing, manufacturing, fabrication, and sheet metal work. His work was not merely a profession but a reflection of his artistic spirit, which also found expression in his love for painting, music, and varied projects around his camp site in Perry County.

His vibrant personality and ability to connect with people left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Thomas found joy in his family. He is survived by his brother, Mike (Rhonda) Himebaugh; sisters, Melissa Grether, Tina (Danny) Leach, and Suzette "Suzie" (Mike) Pickerill; as well as a son he never had, DJ (Haley) Leach.
