Theresa Lynn Wolfe, a cherished soul who graced this world with her kindness and warmth, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2025, in her beloved hometown of New Albany, Indiana. Born on May 2, 1951, Theresa lived a life infused with love, laughter, and a deep commitment to her family.
She was a proud stay-at-home mother and wife, the glue that held her family together. On July 29, 1972, Theresa married the love of her life, Donald Wolfe. Their union blossomed into a beautiful family as they welcomed their son, Adam. Theresa's devotion to her family was evident in every role she played, her nurturing spirit creating a home filled with joy and support.
A lifetime resident of New Albany, Indiana, Theresa embodied the values and warmth of her community. She was a 1969 graduate of New Albany High School, where her outgoing personality shone through, always eager to talk with new people and spread kindness wherever she went. A proud member of Holy Family Catholic Church, her strong Catholic faith guided her actions and interactions throughout her life.
Theresa found joy in simple pleasures, often delighting in hobbies such as playing bingo, preparing festive meals during the holiday season—Christmas being her favorite—and making apple butter alongside her husband, Donald. These activities not only reflect her zest for life but also her dedication to creating lasting memories with those she loved.
Theresa is remembered as someone who always lent a helping hand and touched the lives of many. Her personality radiated kindness and hospitality, creating a welcoming atmosphere in her home and within her community. She is lovingly survived by her husband of 53 years, Donald Wolfe; son, Adam Wolfe; sister, Jane (Paul) Buttrum; brother, John (Sandy) Daugherty, III; sister-in-law, Carol Daugherty; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who will forever cherish her memory.
Theresa is preceded in death by her parents, John Jr. and Dorothy Daugherty; her sister, Susan Daugherty; and her brother, Joe Daugherty. Though she has departed from this earthly realm, her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
A visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southern Indiana, on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and again on Thursday, June 5, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, leading into the funeral service that will begin at 11:00 AM on the same day. All who were touched by her life are invited to join in celebrating the beautiful legacy of Theresa Lynn Wolfe.
