Theresa C. Riggs

Theresa C. Riggs, born Theresa Darleen Craven, passed away on October 5, 2026, in Ekron, Kentucky. She was born on June 23, 1943, in Louisville, Kentucky, and will be remembered with deep love by those who knew her.

Theresa graduated from Pleasure Ridge Park High School in 1962. Over the years, she found joy in breeding Poodles and in making flower arrangements, pursuits that reflected both her care and her creativity. She was a loving mother and Nana, and her family and friends will long remember the big, beautiful, bright smile with which she greeted others.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Riggs; her father, James Craven Sr.; her mother, Elizabeth Ladenburger; her step-mother, Eddie Craven; and her brother, James Craven Jr.

Theresa leaves behind a family who will cherish her memory always: her daughters, Pam Ellison and Teri Blanckaert (Mike); her sons, Gene Riggs (Pam) and Jamie Riggs; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; her sisters, Patricia Wood (Joe) and Delores Mayer; and many other extended family. In their love for her and in the many memories they hold, her presence will continue to be felt for years to come.

Theresa’s life was marked by devotion to her family, warmth toward others, and the simple gifts of kindness and beauty that she shared so naturally. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
