Theresa Ann Hammons

Theresa Ann Hammons was born on April 12, 1958, to Mary (Thomas) Llewellyn and the late Charles Patterson. She was a retired school teacher of Jefferson County Public Schools with a Master's Degree in Special Education. Theresa was a creative, giving, spiritual, loving and beautiful soul. Her greatest joy was reading and playing with her granddaughter Sydney Christine, and she felt most complete when she was surrounded by family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Cambron Craig; brother-in-law, Chris Cambron and uncle, John Thomas.

Theresa is survived by her husband, Dennis Hammons; children, Toni (Chris) Vance, Tyson (Tuesday Dorr) Raymer and Trista (Daniel Schisler) Raymer; granddaughter, Sydney Christine Vance; brothers, Steve Lancaster, Joe Lancaster, Ronnie Walker, Aaron Patterson, Bobby Patterson and Darell Patterson; sister, Lisa Bell; numerous cousins, nieces & nephews; adoptive father, Joseph Lancaster, Sr.; aunt, Helen Morrison; mother-in-law, Linda Huddleston and the father of her children, Tony Raymer.

Visitation will be at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY on Monday, July 2, 2018, from 2pm-8pm. A celebration of Theresa's life will be Tuesday, July 3, 2018, beginning at 1pm at the chapel of the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Garnettsville Cemetery, Highway 1638, Brandenburg, KY.
