Theresa Ann Furlong, 43, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at the Hosparus Inpatient Unit in Louisville.
She was born on October 25, 1975 in St. Louis, Missouri to Tommy and Darlene Furlong. Theresa graduated from North Hardin High School in Radcliff, KY and Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. She was a Research Assistant I at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, a Senior R&D Chemist at Sun Products in Bowling Green, KY, and a Detergent Chemist at GE in Louisville. She enjoyed stamp collecting, pottery making, and crocheting. Theresa also enjoyed listening to music, going to music concerts, and seeing Broadway plays at the Kentucky Center of the Arts. She also enjoyed spending her time tutoring children in math. She was a well loved daughter, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed.
Theresa is survived by her beloved Yorkie Poo, Sophie, Parents, Darlene and Tommy Furlong, Sisters, Jennifer Gillock (David), Stephanie Furlong, Megan Furlong, Niece and Nephew, Emily and Aaron Kensing.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions, Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy). A service to celebrate Theresa's life will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday at the funeral home.
The family requests that contributions in Theresa's memory be made to Shirley's Way or the American Cancer Society.
