Theodore "Ted" Bogard, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Friday, June 6, 2025.
He was a former employee of Reynolds Metal in Louisville. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Taylorsville, Kentucky. He served in the Army in the Korean War and also 8 years in the National Guard. Ted was a life long UK fan. He enjoyed playing golf, bowling and dancing. His greatest joy was being with his family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ted is preceded in death by his mother, Anna; his father, Oscar; his first wife, Wanda D; and second wife, Wanda B; his sisters, Louise, Irma, Mary Ann and his brother, Ronald.
Ted is survived by his wife of 46 years, Emily Pilkenton Bogard; sister, Shirley Raymond; his children, Debbie (Billy), Billy (Melissa), Todd, Peggy (Dennis), Rosa, Joe (Teresa), John (Deborah), Melissa (Tommy). He is also survived by 18 loving grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Thursday, June 12, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway. His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Hardin Memorial Park in Elizabethtown, Kentucky.
