Theodore Robert Koehler, Jr.

Theodore Robert Koehler, Jr., aged 90, of Borden, Indiana, peacefully passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026. Born on July 13, 1935, Ted lived a life filled with dedication to his family, a passion for his work, and an enthusiasm for sports and travel.

Ted had a successful career in film editing, beginning at WHAS 11 before moving on to WDRB, where he eventually retired. His professional journey was marked by a steadfast commitment to his craft, earning him respect and admiration from his colleagues in the industry.

A true sports enthusiast, Ted was an avid fan of horse racing and the Louisville Cardinals. He also enjoyed reading and traveling, exploring the world alongside his beloved wife, Victoria.

He is survived by his wife of over 46 years, Victoria Foster Koehler, his children, Roxanne Eubanks (Jim) and Ralph Foster, Jr. (Lycria), as well as his grandsons, Patrick Eubanks, Brandon Eubanks, Tyler Foster, and great-grandsons, Austin and Harrison. Ted also leaves behind his sister, Joyce Isaacs.

Ted was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Taylor Eubanks.

Ted's wish for cremation has been honored, with Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions entrusted with his care. Ted was without a doubt an avid animal lover. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in his memory be made to Alley Cat Advocates (3524 Newburg Road, Louisville, KY 40218) or to your local Humane Society.
