Theodore J. Baldree, 80, of Bardstown, KY passed away Monday February 22, 2016 at Audubon Hospital in Louisville, KY. Born June 1, 1935 in Melber, KY. He was the son of the late John L. and Mildred Burchard Baldree.
Ted attended high school in Detroit, MI and then served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He later began his own advertising business in Louisville, KY known as Studio Arts aka SA Communications. He sold the advertising business and moved to St. Simons Island, GA where he and his sister founded the St. Simons Island Trolley historic tour company. After selling the business he retired to Bardstown, KY where he and his wife Maria resided for the past 19 years. He was a member of Nelson Christian Church in Bardstown, KY.
Ted is survived by his wife of 36 years, Maria Hedges Baldree; 2 daughters, Lisa Wasilewsky (Shawn), Julie Johnson (Larry); 3 granddaughters, Taylor, Paige and Mary Grace; 3 grandsons, Nolan, Teran and Blake; Sister, Patricia Morgan; Father and Mother- in -law, Howard and Glyndora; 3 Brothers-in-law, Lee, Joseph and Joshua; 4 Sisters-in-law, Amber W., Amber H., Jaye, and Renee; 8 Nephews, John, Jim, Shad, Seth, Luke, Jeff, David, and Paul; 4 Nieces, Elizabeth, Amanda, Courtney and Sophie.
There will be a private, invitation only, memorial/wake Saturday March 12, 2016 at Old Kentucky Home Country Club in Bardstown, Ky.
