Thelma Jean (Bennett) Timberlake, 92, of Elizabeth, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2020. Thelma loved playing Bingo, sitting in the backyard drinking her coffee, playing Euchre, and being around her children and grandchildren.
She was born on September 9, 1928, in Leavenworth, Indiana, to the late Volnie and Maude (Mills) Bennett. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her ex-husband and the father of her children, Alfred S. Timberlake, Sr.; children, Norman Timberlake and Mary Diane Wright; two grandsons, Steven and Jeremiah Timberlake; and her siblings, Ruth, Elvin, Vaughn, Garold, Ruby, Marvin, Helen, and William.
Thelma is survived by her children, Charles Timberlake, Helen (Ryan) Mundy, Susan (Charles) Beaven, Donna (Michael) Pellman, Nathan Timberlake, James Timberlake, Elizabeth Storms, Terri (Robert) Parker, Alfred Timberlake, Jr., Gary (Diellen) Timberlake, and Larry (Selena) Timberlake; 26 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; and 23 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 22, 2020, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany (3309 Ballard Lane). Her Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.
